What is DATANORM?
Your wholesaler sends you new price lists. Hundreds of items, updated prices, changed discount groups. What follows is manual entry into your system. Item by item. Every entry takes time. And every typing error costs even more — at the very latest when an incorrect price appears in a quote.
DATANORM solves precisely this problem. The format is the standard used in the German skilled trades and wholesale sectors for the exchange of product master data. All data in the catalogue can be filtered by product category or discount group to import only the required data. This enables the efficient processing of products from extensive delivery type catalogues and ensures the flow of information to Odoo. The configurations and data imports for DATANORM are available in Odoo under the Purchasing module.

Creating templates for standardisation
In Odoo, a template can be created for product imports to ensure standardisation during data transfer.
Specific filtering
Product categories, price categories, discount categories and product groups can be exported from DATANORM and imported into Odoo.
Price update
The prices of DATANORM products that have already been imported can be updated by importing the price lists (price files), without the need to generate new Odoo products.
