The challenge:
In this medium-sized craft business, the desire and need for precise processes and clear structures via a central ERP system was growing. Efficiency was significantly hampered by unclear responsibilities and manually executed processes. In the construction industry, more and more processes are being digitised, which is why it is also important for SMEs to be properly set up. Public tenders in the industry are managed via the GAEB data exchange (Joint Committee for Electronics in Construction). GAEB enables the submission of bids and the management of the extensive service specifications in the tendering process.
A large and important area of Feld's carpentry business is handled via public tenders using the GAEB file exchange. For this reason, a compatible connection between GAEB and the new ERP system was absolutely essential. ODION was commissioned to introduce Odoo as a future-proof ERP system and to implement the GAEB interface. Our cross-module interface solution enables file exchange for all important tender information and makes the files available in all necessary Odoo modules.
Our solution:
Replacing the internally developed ERP system with Odoo provided a sustainable solution to the challenges faced in day-to-day business. Maintenance work required by the previous ERP system was eliminated with the introduction of Odoo.
Odoo now allows all information, tasks and documentation to be managed in one central location. Defined workflows create clear responsibilities and smooth processes, which increases efficiency in the work steps.
